OF MEMBERSHIP IN THE
“WWFRF” FRIENDS OF FRUIT GROUP
Being a member has great advantages. You can attend very interesting
field days and come during the summer to Mt. Vernon WA to harvest and
take home hundreds of varieties of delicious fruit. However, we would
urge those of you who live too far away to come to the events, to still
become members or to give a donation so “WWFRF” and Raintree
can continue to provide you and future generations with the opportunity
to grow, in your own yard, the best fruit on the planet. Learn
more about “Friends of Fruit” at wwfrf.org

FIELD
DAYS
WWFRF hosts two Saturday field days a
year at the WSU Mt. Vernon WA. Station. On February 24, 2007 the field
day featured a full day of classroom and hands on instruction in pruning
fruit trees, grafting and ecological pest control. The day is a great
help to beginners and to more experienced home fruit growers. At the
October 6, 2007 field day, members will taste and evaluate dozens of varieties
of apples and other fruit and attend classes. Members go into the orchards
to pick delicious fruit varieties to take home.
DISPLAY
GARDEN
There is
a beautiful display garden at the WSU Mt. Vernon WA station which is
maintained by many organizations including WWFRF. It includes rose gardens,
herb and vegetable gardens, many beautiful ornamentals and of course
fruit.

Fruit
Tasting is a popular event with WWFRF Members!
