Prunus salicina x cerasifera 'Obilnaja'

This worldly Russian-bred plum, a hardy cross between Asian and Myrobalan plums, comes from Yalta on the Black Sea. The partially self-fertile tree produces a heavy crop of medium size, firm, red plums with excellent flavor, yellow/pink flesh and very small pits.

Fruit ripens mid summer. Resistant to bacterial spot. For best fruit set, choose another Asian plum as a pollinizer.

It s our best Asian plum. Great flavor and texture, good bud survival, but fruit are prone to preharvest drop. The tree has a spreading growth habit.

Raintree is not the same as I remember

The pictures will reveal the quality of tree I received. Dull secateurs for pruning. Did not prune to outer facing bud. Damaged during shipping because not packaged properly. Horrible graft that has a very large exposed wound. Torn and beat up branches. It was shipped this way since no left over pieces in the box. This tree should have been free. My previous orders also had issues. I only bought this tree because no one else had it. It suppose to be bacterial resistant. Never buying from Raintree again!
