Balled & Burlap Fruit Trees AVAILABLE ONLY AT OUR GARDEN CENTER! THESE TREES ARE TOO LARGE TO SHIP. SORRY, BUT THESE TREES CANNOT BE ORDERED AHEAD! YOU MUST COME TO THE NURSERY TO SELECT THEM AND PICK THEM UP. We only start out with one or at most a few of each of these varieties. Come early for best selection. When you come to the nursery you can choose from the cultivars that are then still available! The list below represents only what we had at one time. As each variety sells out, it is no longer available. (If you want to be sure of the varieties you will get, then order from our regular size, shippable plants.) Our ready to bear tree bag fruit trees are available from February to November. PLANT AN INSTANT ORCHARD! WE OFFER LARGE BEARING AGE TREES IN TREE BAGS. We offer bearing Apple, Pear, Plum and Cherry trees. Our LARGE BEARING AGE trees average 7-10' tall and in 75 pound average tree bags. These can be planted any time of the year. We also have fruit trees available in smaller 7 gallon tree bags. All the trees on this list are at OUR RAINTREE MORTON WA. (Bring a covered truck or a pickup PLEASE NOTE: Since quantities of each variety are small, there could be a lag time between a variety selling out and its removal from this list. In the summer and fall we also have a variety of formerly bare root fruit trees potted in fiber pots. These are priced at $5 more than the regular catalog prices. They are a great choice for those wishing to plant from August through December.


C020L Beauty Plum

The richest flavored Japanese plum. It has a wonderful blend of flavors that melt in your mouth. The tree is fast growing and extremely productive. It starts fruiting in the nursery rows. The bright red, medium sized fuit has amber streaked red flesh. The fruit is reminiscent of Santa Rosa, and self fruitful. Fruit ripens early August but like all Japanese Plums it does not keep.

C057L Cocheco Plum (Too Large to Ship)

A red leafed plum that is both beautiful and productive. It is an upright, vigorous tree with attractive, flavorful round pinkish orange fruit with yellow flesh. Developed by Elwyn Meader of New Hampshire, it is disease resistant, very winter hardy and easy to grow. Ripens in late July. It needs a Japanese plum as a pollinizer.

A300SL Enterprise Apple/M7 (Too Large to Ship)

A glossy red apple with an excellent spritely flavor that improves with storage. The tree is productive, vigorous and spreading. Fruit ripens late October. It is an excellent keeper and is immune to scab and resistant to fire blight, cedar apple rust and mildew. Already a proven winner at the Mt. Vernon station.

A280SL Evereste Crabapple/M7 (Too Large to Ship)

Enjoy this fantastic new edible ornamental throughout the year. Each spring, this highly disease resistant tree from France is covered from base to summit with fragrant, beautiful long lasting white flowers. Every summer the tree is a spectacle in red, covered with thousands of round tart fruit about an inch in diameter. Use the fruit to make jelly, pickled apples or add with other apples to make a wonderful cider. The tree grows to 10' tall with branches arched out from the weight of the fruit. The fruit hangs on the branches until mid winter,

(Also know as Mirabelle 858) A superb tasting, small yellow plum with yellow flesh and red dots on the skin. Incredibly productive. Great for tarts, compotes, canning, jam, eating fresh or prized for brandy. Needs a pollinizer.

A385DL Greensleeves Apple/M26 (Too Large to Ship)

Raintree discovered that English organic growers sing the praises of this large beautiful yellow apple. It was bred at East Malling (Golden Delicious x James Grieve) for its disease resistance, heavy cropping and crisp juicy, delicious flesh. Its September ripening, long mid season bloom and compact spur habit also make it a winner.

B120P Highland E. Pear/OHxF333 (Too Large to Ship)

The highest quality keeper pear, it thrives throughout the nation. This large, attractive dessert pear is yellow with some russetting. The flesh is very smooth in texture and rich in flavor. Trees are very hardy, of moderate vigor and very productive.The fruit matures in early October and developes its best quality if stored about a month. Ripen the fruit on your counter through Christmas. Highland was developed at the Geneva staion in New York state. We offer well rooted 10 gallon tree bags.

A self-fertile variety of sweet cherry with large black fruit of excellent flavor. The cherries are bacterial canker and crack resistant. This tree is a very consistent and heavy bearer. We offer well rooted 10 gallon tree bags.

C170L LongJohn Plum (Too Large to Ship)

This unusual looking, large elongated prune plum is pointed on both ends and a beautiful blue-purple color. The vigorous tree is loaded with delicious, sweet aromatic, firm freestone fruit. The flesh is amber colored. Somewhat self fertile, it benefits by being pollinized by another prune plum.

Every year in July, before any other tree fruit is ripe, our tree is loaded with thousands of sweet, medium size, reddish purple plums. They ripen over ten days and don’t keep but, oh are they good. The tree is an early, regular bearer and self fertile. It’s a Japanese plum hybrid.

A581DL Queen Cox Apple M26 (Too Large to Ship)

A new self fertile clone. It has the flavor, mellow aftertaste and aroma of the famed Cox's Orange Pippin. This clone, released in England in 1973, sets big crops of delicious fruit each year, without a pollinizer. This past summer in England this clone set bumper crops when fruit set was poor on other apples including other Cox type apples. The fruit of Queen Cox is larger and the tree more disease resistant than Cox's Orange Pippin. The tree is 15% less vigorous than Queen Cox. Fruit ripens in mid September. Now available for the first time

B205P Red Clapp's Favorite E. Pear (Too Large to Ship)

Also called "Red Kalle". This large pear from Michigan is beautiful with amazing reddish purple fruit hanging like jewels from the tree. The fruit is sweet and flavorful. It thrives in the Pacific Northwest and in much of the nation. It is one of the first ripen in early September. It blooms in mid season with Rescue (#B200) and is a good pollinizer. We offer well rooted 10 gallon tree bags.

A625DL Rubinette apple on EMLA 26 (Too Large to Ship)

The sweetly tart flavor of Rubinette is sure to please all fans of the Cox crosses. Loads of medium-size apples, golden with red stripes, ripens early October. Delicious! On EMLA 26 rootstock.

C115L Schoolhouse Plum (Too Large to Ship)

A large oval, bright yellow plum with excellent flavor. It appears to be a prune type plum. Its bright yellow color makes it unique. It ripens in mid August and is extremely productive and reliable. It is named for the schoolhouse where it was found in Pt. Townsend Washington. It was brought to us by James Fritz. Needs a pollinizer.

C240L Shiro Asian Plum (Too Large to Ship)

A large, round yellow plum with an excellent, sweet flavor and sunshine yellow translucent flesh. The tree is very prolific. It ripens mid-August and is partially self-fertile. The fruit is ridiculously juicy. Be sure to wear a bib!

C300L Weeping Santa Rosa Plum (Too Large to Ship)

Use as a focal point in your edible landscape. It has a beautiful weeping habit. Grows to 8 feet tall and has attractive white blossoms in early spring. It doesn’t set much fruit but produces flavorful Santa Rosa plums. Patented by Floyd Zaiger. Self-fertile.
