POLICY
Raintree Nursery ships orders via UPS and US Postal Service. We can only
ship to one address per order.
INTERNATIONAL
SHIPPING
At this time we can ship plants only
within the United States, Puerto Rico and other US Territories.
We ship books and supplies anywhere in the world. If you
would like Raintree to ship to your country, please email us and we
will arrange shipping. orders@raintreenursery.com
SHIPPING
TIMES
We ship at the Best time for your area!
Simply place your order! We will select the best shipping time
for your area. Call or email us if you have any questions! If you want
to choose a shipping date, consult the shipping
chart for hints on the best shipping time for your region. Having
your plants arrive at your door in great shape and at the right time
has been RAINTREE'S
job for a quarter century.
We ship bare root plants kept fully dormant, in cold storage, from January
through mid June. We ship potted plants January through June and in
the Autumn. We ship books, supplies and gift certificates all year.
WEST
OF THE ROCKIES
- We ship plants by choosing the best ground service for you. The only
season we ship bare root plants is January through Mid-June and only
when the weather is above freezing. (see BEST
TIMES TO RECEIVE YOUR BARE ROOT AND POTTED PLANTS.)
We can send books and supplies all year. Although service may be quicker,
allow up to two to three weeks for order processing and delivery.
EAST
OF THE ROCKIES - We offer a choice of three shipping methods:
Zone Skipping, Ground shipping or expedited service.
Option 1: Zone Skipping Saves You Money!
Many of our plants are large, which is great in all ways except they
are very expensive to ship long distances. Zone skipping is where we
contract an experienced trucking firm that has team drivers who drive
day and night and deliver the packaged orders in about three days to
an eastern regional UPS hub where they are then delivered in two to
three days to you. This is a little quicker than regular ground shipping
and a lot less expensive.
Option 2: Regular Shipping without Zone Skipping!
This option is if you missed the zone skip dates or prefer
to choose a different date of shipment! Let us choose the ship time
or you choose. UPS comes to our door and delivers to you, usually in
a week or less. This option works fine when you order at the appropriate
time for your area. If you order late and the weather is getting too
warm, we suggest and sometimes only guarantee the plants if you have
them shipped by 3 day air.
Option 3: Three Day Air Shipping!
The best choice for those of you who want earlier shipment or are ordering
late in the season for your area.The reduced transit-time is easier
on your plants. Our air service also allows you to choose when you would
prefer to have your plants shipped. Its expensive especially for heavy

ALASKA AND HAWAII
- We ship most orders by Priority Mail. Hawaiian orders will be sent
out soon after we receive them. Alaskan customers may choose a shipping
time on the order form.
