P304D Chicken of the Woods Mushroom (250 Dowels)
(Laetiporus conifericola) This is perhaps the easiest wild mushroom to recognize, the combination of bright orange and sulfur yellow make it a real show stopper. As tasty as it is colorful, it could make a great landscape addition. It is native to the Western US it is found on conifer stumps and logs. Package of 250 dowel plugs. full description
(Hypsizgus ulmarius) The best tasting oyster mushroom. Among the easiest of mushrooms to grow and an excellent introduction to home mushroom cultivation.The mushrooms are usually white to pale gray or brown, flattened or somewhat funnel-shaped and usually borne in large shelf-like clusters. (Stropharia rugosa-annulata) Also know as the "Garden Giant". As the name implies this mushroom can get large (up to 5lbs), but these beautiful wine red mushrooms are far tastier when picked at the button stage. It is a very easy mushroom for the home cultivator and can be readily grown in your berry, vegetable and flowers beds. Just mix FRESH hardwood chips or sawdust with our King Stropharia Spawn, mulch around your garden with the spawned chips and keep moist. (Hericium erinaceus) A beautiful, large, and showy mushroom. This tasty treat is found in the late summer and fall on hardwood stumps and logs throughout much of the US. Oak, walnut and beech are favorites but it will grow well on many types of hardwoods. Lion's Mane is a medicinal mushroom and is said to improve cognitive ability. (Grifola frondosa) Maitake, also known as "Hen of the Woods" is a native of Eastern North America. It is prized by mushroom hunters for it's delicious flavor, beauty and large size (the record is over 100lbs.) Maitake has been found to contain a number of healthful and medicinal compounds.
