USDA Zone refers to the coldest temperature a plant can survive. This plant is hardy to zone 5, and any zone higher than that. So yes, it will be fine in zone 6.

Nice!

This is my second Asian pear from raintree nursery. I love them! This sapling came at the right time to plant, healthy, well pruned and varieties clearly marked.

Died in the second year

Good for a year then dead for fire blight. Not the nursery issue, I guess it is just the problem of the variety not friendly for new grower.

Many branched Asian Pear

Seems to be well branched with some budding starting. Some tags don’t show fruit type so it will be a surprise. Used IV Organic on it. Planted it right away. Have clay soil so dug wide hole and amended soil and drainage. Would like to have info on watering schedule for clay zone 7.
