Date Palms grow slowly in Northern climates and can be a beautiful patio plant in a container for many years. It prefers dry conditions and full sun. These Date Palm plants should be hardy to zero and have survived -15 degrees F. These plants, selected for their hardiness, do bear edible fruit however of lower quality than commercial dates.
