Also called Oregon Myrtle. The tree is slow growing to 75 feet, but with annual pruning it can be maintained as a 6-8 foot shrub. It grows well in a pot. It likes deep soils with plenty of water, but can stand some drought.
One gallon size.
This plant contains safrole. The Bay Laurel is one of many long-considered edible plants found to be carcinogenic when consumed in large quantities.
