Mahonias

(Mahonia aquifolium) An upright evergreen which does best in its native northwest. Yellow early spring flowers are followed by berries which turn to blue-black by autumn. It is a variable plant, growing from 3' to 10' tall and 3' to 5' wide. USDA Zones 6-9.
