(Arbutus menziesii 'Marina')Is a natural hybrid of A. canariensis and A. andrachnoides. A. andrachnoides is a hybrid between A. andrachene and A. unedo. A beautiful broadleafed evergreen with exfoliating bark, and leaves that are larger than its cousin, the common Madrone. Pinkish flowers appear at the same time as the strawberry-like fruit from the previous season is ripening. It will grow to about 30'x 30' or more in a well drained, sandy, acidic soil with full sun.
