Late Summer/Fall at the Raintree Nursery Garden Center

We have hundreds of varieties of edible plants in pots. Take them home for fall planting. Starting in September we add dozens of varieties of fruit trees in fiber pots ready for planting. Because they are in fiber pots they can be planted in the pot which will biodegrade. Call us for varietal availability.

In late September fall bulbs will be ready for purchase.

Have Questions For Our Horticulturist?

Email your question to our staff horticulturist at hort@raintreenursery.com Allow a few days for an answer.

If you want detailed advice up to and including a professional design for your garden, you can hire one of a professional garden designer. They can help you over the phone, or if you live in Western Washington, they can visit your place by scheduling an appointment.

Come Visit Us at the Raintree Garden Center

Our Garden Center, located on our nursery grounds in Southwest Washington near Morton, has the same plants that you would get if you had us ship them to you. Coming here gives you the opportunity to browse among our potted plants. From February thru May we will we pull bare root trees for you from our cold storage facility.

Our regular mail order plants fit in a compact car, however, we also have large bearing size plants that are too big, heavy and expensive to ship. Call for availability of these beautiful large bearing plants at 1-800-391-8892.

You will need a van or pickup truck for our large specimen plants which are available from February through May. If you bring a truck, please have a canopy or a tarp because these trees, of course, are growing and have leaves that would be damaged if driven home out in the wind.

Classes and Workshops

Attend our Classes & Workshops. We offer a variety of classes that help you succeed in your home fruit garden! We will post the classes for spring 2018 in October.   Tours and tasting at Raintree are scheduled for Sept. 23rd from noon to 2 p.m.   and on October 28th which will include apple cider making.

(Note: We hire a fruit hobbyist who lives within commuting distance for weekend work in February through May.. Call if you're interested.)
