You will receive 6 varieties Fuji/Gala/Gravenstein/Red McIntosh/Yellow Delicious/Yellow Transparent Each branch will be labeled. Espalier is the word for the special training practices used for growing trees on a trellis. There are many ways of doing this to make your trees into a work of art. We offer trees that have already been trained along the same plane in a 3 tier T shaped horizontal cordon. You can train them to many different shapes. These forms are beautiful when placed against a wall, existing fences or wires. An average spacing would be 8 to 10 feet apart. The trees will form a fourth tier next year if you wish. The branches are currently at about 1 1/2, 2 1/2 and 3 1/2 feet. The trees are shipped to you in special protective boxes. The apples are on EMLA 26 rootstock.

The highly flavored, yellow fleshed, semi-freestone fruit is great for canning, pies, poached or eaten fresh. Reliably ripens in mid July. This is a patented variety. Royalties of 75 cents a tree go to support fruit research at the WSU Mt. Vernon station. Self fertile.

This small tree (8 to 10' tall) is big on the uniqueness scale. A cross with the fine attributes of three fruits, peach, apricot, and plum, the fruit has yellow skin blushed almost completely red with a slightly fuzzy texture much like an apricot. It is partially freestone and has yellow flesh and a wonderfully complex flavor. Expect ripe fruit in early June in California. A Pluot makes the best pollinizer. Needs at least 500 chill hours. Patent pending.
