Danube cherry/Gisela 5
A selection from Hungary, where delicious cherries have been grown for centuries. It is also called Erdi Botermo. The dark red fruit has a wonderful sweet unique flavor. It is a cross of the sweet and tart cherry. It is delicous eaten fresh or in baked goods.
It is self fertile and productive and ripens in early July. On Gisela 5 rootstock.
