This 'organic' product really works by providing a firm clay barrier. Heavy rain washes off the clay so respraying is necessary. 'Surround' does not inhibit fruit ripening or harm bees or beneficial insects and it is also used to reduce sunburn damage of fruit. Start application when the fruit is small before the insects arrive. One pound will cover four 15' trees for one application.
