(Ilex verticillata) A female deciduous holly that is loaded with bright red berries persisting well into winter. Needs Late Male Winterberry for pollinization. This twiggy bush grows to about 6' and provides a good spot for the birds. Berries not edible by people! Give it sun or partial shade and a soil with plenty of organic matter, pH 5 to 6.5.
