Black Raspberries are rated 11% higher in anti oxidants than blueberries. They rate very high in anthocyanin and vitamins A, C, E and folic acid. The bushes are larger and other raspberries and will grow to 7' tall or more and bend over. To prevent this, pinch or prune the tips each summer when they reach 5' tall. Space 3' apart USDA Zones 4-8.
by Louise Riotte, 31 pages. This Storey booklet shows the backyard gardener how to plant, care for and trellis rasp and blackberries. In all the Story booklets, which were published in 1979, the info on selecting varieties is out of date but the other information is very useful.
